Worldwide Leader in Premium Sleep Products Needed World-Class Headquarters to Accommodate Expansion

Lexington, Kentucky-based, Tempur-Pedic, a manufacturer and distributor of mattresses and pillows, needed a larger corporate headquarters to allow for expansion. Committed to staying in Lexington, the company chose a 9-acre site on the University of Kentucky Coldstream Research Campus for its approximately 126,000-square-foot facility. The expansion was expected to create 65 new jobs over five years, bringing the company’s total employment in Lexington to more than 300.

Al. Neyer provided design-build construction services for the new facility. Tempur-Pedic worked with Al. Neyer to ensure the new four-story headquarters supports environmental responsibility and the facility qualified for LEED certification. The facility includes the company’s corporate functions, including executive leadership providing global business support, and North American sales and marketing operations.
