Al. Neyer Supports 174-Year-Old Valve Manufacturer in its Move to a New Headquarters

Powell Valves is a leading industrial manufacturer, providing high-quality gate, globe, check, bellow-seal, and non-return valves. The company, like Al. Neyer, has a rich history and dates back to the early 19th century; in fact, Powell Valves has been at the same location in Cincinnati for 174 years!

In 2020, the industrial valve maker made plans to move to allow its longtime neighbor, KAO USA, to expand its research and manufacturing facility.

Powell Valves agreed to sell its headquarters to The Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority and use the proceeds to build its new facility on 4 acres of land that The Port owns just north of the former Sara Lee/Kahn’s manufacturing site on Spring Grove. The Port’s agreement to acquire the property for KAO’s expansion is expected to create 45 new jobs.

Powell Valves engaged Al. Neyer to build the 46,000 SF building that will serve as its new headquarters with office and manufacturing space.
