Neyer joined local leaders to cut the ribbon on a new industrial facility, Commerce Crossing at Westmoreland. Built on 206 acres at the Madison exit of Interstate 70, Commerce Crossing features five pad-ready sites that range from 9.8 to 25.6 acres. In addition to immediate access to I-70, the park offers potential rail-spur connectivity. It is the 18th park to be developed and managed by Westmoreland County Industrial Development Corporation (WCIDC). From the Pittsburgh Business Times: Local officials and representatives from the Westmoreland County Industrial Development Corp. and Al. Neyer celebrated the opening of the Commerce Crossing Business Center. It is the 18th industrial park that WCIDC operates. Commerce Crossing at Westmoreland is located along Interstate 70 in Sewickley Township, and it is home to Al. Neyer’s new 250,000-square-foot distribution facility. In total, the industrial park has five parcels with over 57 acres of pad-ready land. Two of the lots remain available, sized at 26 acres and 10 acres, respectively. Both lots are also able to be connected to a Southwest Pennsylvania Railroad spur, which connects to an international rail network. “It’s a pretty good sign when 60 percent of your property is already under contract by the time you hold a ribbon cutting,” WCIDC Vice Chair Doug Chew said in a release. “The county comprehensive plan calls on us to attract business to the I-70 corridor to maximize the economic impact of the interstate, and that’s exactly what’s happening here at Commerce Crossing at Westmoreland.
