CRANE WATCH: More than $731 million in projects added across Cincinnati

From Cincinnati Business Courier:

CRANE WATCH: More than $731 million in projects added across Cincinnati

Even with the region continuing to work through the coronavirus pandemic, development and construction activity marches on in Greater Cincinnati.

Since the last update to the Business Courier’s Crane Watch map in November 2020, 19 projects have been added to the map. The latest update only includes areas that are already included in Crane Watch. Those projects, ranging from mixed-use redevelopment projects to hospital expansions, have a total investment more than $731 million.

That’s more projects, and a larger total investment, than the last update in November, when seven projects were added with a total investment of $492 million. It’s also more than the total activity that was added to the map at the end of last year, which also included updates on four major projects with total additional investment of $205 million.

The total amount of construction activity across the region topped the $5.2 billion mark, spread across 69 different projects. Be sure to explore the map to see the latest updates on current projects and new projects that have been added since November. You can also view a list of stories about Crane Watch projects.

Some of the recently completed projects include Cornerstone Crossing in Elsmere, a 50-unit apartment building for seniors, and Riverview Commerce Center, a 585,800-square-foot distribution center with a large portion that has already been leased to Standard Textile.

This latest update also removed a number of completed projects that have been finished for a year. Since we launched Crane Watch, 111 projects that were on the map have been completed. Those projects represent more than $2.9 billion in investment into Greater Cincinnati.

The largest project added to the map is TriHealth’s planned modernization of the Good Samaritan Hospital campus in Clifton. The largest projects added that are under construction are the $85 million expansion of the Sam Adams brewery in the West End, the $85 million expansion of TriHealth’s Bethesda North campus, and the second and third phases of Ackermann Group’s Madamore development in Madisonville.
