Neyer to construct industrial building in Portland, TN Al. Neyer announces its plans to develop and build Shoals Way Industrial, a 638,400 SF speculative bulk industrial warehouse in Portland, TN. From The Tennessean: Al. Neyer, a design-build developer has started initial site work for the building that can be for one or two tenants on 38 acres on Shoals Way. No users have been announced. Road infrastructure that includes the proximity to Interstate 65 between Nashville and Bowling Green, Kentucky along with Highways 52, 31 and 109 are reasons Al. Neyer pursued the site. “We’re honored investors have confidence in our community,” Portland Director of Economic and Community Development Denise Geminden said. “We’re very, very well located for industry – manufacturing and distribution both.” Building completion is estimated for August 2023. “Based on the demand we continue to see from users, we’re optimistic about the 65 north corridor and believe there is great opportunity to provide bulk class A space in the Portland submarket,” said Al. Neyer, Vice President and Nashville Market Leader, Patrick Poole. The Shoals Way building is funded through Al. Neyer’s private equity real estate investment fund.
